I liked that this was from a male perspective. The secondary characters like Katherine are well-rounded and interesting. It was probably hard to make a woman in a coma a real character, with her interests and life not currently being shown to the reader. Ms. Delinsky did an amazing job of that, even in a coma it was clear why her husband still loved her (okay, ex-husband, but there was never any doubt how that would turn out!)

In case anyone in the world didn't know it by now, I adore Pirates and Capt. Jack Sparrow! This was a great behind-the-scenes look at an awesome movie. There are little tidbits that made it worth the read, even for a fan such as myself, who reads as much as possible about the movies.

And I didn't even see the 'twist' or whatever you want to call it, coming. Maybe I'm blind but it was definitely a surprise. I loved the snobby secondary characters the best, they were the funniest.

You can almost see what's being described (which yes I know is the aim of every book but many of them fall short!). The characters are sweet, genuine people, it was a pleasure to spend time with them!

I'm giving this a score based on everything but the last chapter. The last chapter was horrible, in my opinion, although I know my opinion isn't worth much! I would have rewritten it but I won't say how since it's the last chapter and that would spoil the ending of course! But the characters were good and the plot was intriguing, so I really did like the book despite my pessimism.
