Read it though, ripping it apart slightly in my journal! But ah well, as a friend said, now my life is "full of purpose" (yes, he was being as sarcastic as I am right now).

Another not-quite-great V.C. Andrews book. This one was so sad though, because I was really rooting for all the girls, even though I knew what the end had to be. This is the first of two books, and I know where all three girls end up. So even as I'm saying "run, go, be better!", I know what the ultimate end for each of them is. Very sad.

Interesting. The beginning was hard, he comes across as quite arrogant. He's doing this to write a book and make money, that much was clear from his attitude in the beginning. But then something changed in him a little and he grew more interested in what he was doing, not just as a way to make money and gain some fame.

Cute. Not sure why the author is called on the cover "the mistress of suspense-romance." There wasn't much suspense, I had already figured it out pretty early in the book. And no romance, there doesn't seem to be any basis for Davey being anything more than friend/brother. If it hadn't been that there were no other guys around for Kathy to fall for, I would have expected her to discover that she and Davey were siblings!!
